How to write an effective blog post?
Let me tell you a secret about my first blog post. It was when I had just started to work for a new company (yes, EasyDNNsolutions) and they explained me everything I have to do and everything they've been doing but still there was a lot for me to learn. So I sat down at my computer and started to search for new things, remembering new words, using products…Every beginning is hard.
So I made a list, that was expanding every day, then I stepped into the world of social networks so I started noticing and writing down important things from that perspective. Suddenly I found myself with a lot of scribblings, but useful scribblings all mixed up when I decided that I have to have some kind of order. Once I’ve ordered them, I noticed that I’m missing something in each part so I decided to dive more into this part and finally I had lots of pages that were only plain text. Since I was exploring the importance of images for any kind of content I decided to put images to the written words after which I put introduction lines at the beginning and finally closing lines at the end of the text. And voila, the first book was there, extremely spontaneously.
Just today, I ran across a famous quote that I find to be completely suitable.
It happened to me a lot of times that I was like - I don’t know how to draw nicely, I don’t know how to sing beautifully, I’m not good also at making sports, nor I do poetry. What is it with me? Now I realize – I am passionately curious, I can’t say that I haven’t tried something I wanted to. I did and when I find something new, I’ll try that too.
But enough about me, let’s see 8 habits that I found to be necessary for a successful publisher
1. find a niche
My niche was found once I’ve started to work in EasyDNNsolutions. I know that each of you already has something on their mind if not, you have to find a place of your interest. Step by step you will find that your niche has many things to offer and that it constantly gives you fresh information and you just need to put them into your perspective.
2. personalization and up-to-date content
Just look at the beginning of this post and you will see that it doesn’t miss personalization. The beginning was all about – I did that, I decided that... But all jokes aside, you are sure that this text isn’t generated by computers. This brand is represented by a human being that believes in EasyDNNproducts and people who are behind it. As we already mentioned, every niche constantly gives you fresh information and once you step into the world of blogging be sure to always give relevant and up-to-date content.
3. communication
Like in every day, communication is inevitable. Ask people for their insights, thoughts, and feelings about some product or service. Communicate your product or service, it is the only way to present them to the world. And if you have the fortune to have great customers like we do, they will give you suggestions, directions, their opinion and you’ll see that it is great to have someone like that to point you in the right direction. I don’t know if you have parents like I do, but they’ve always taught me that a lot of things can be solved only by talking about them.
4. be picky
A lot of new things are showing up every day. Things are changing and that is where you find the opportunity to create new stuff, so sometimes you have to decide on what is right for you at the moment. Find interesting stuff for your audience and try to be present at the right moment.
5. …but spread the risk
Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone just to draw people’s attention. We said that you have to be picky, and that’s completely true but you also have to be bold and brave and different.
6. persistence
If you aren’t satisfied with the results of your first blog post, don’t let that discourage you. I don’t know about you, but I remember the scene from the TV series Castle where he was explaining to his daughter why he keeps the first rejection letter on the wall of his office.
“Rejection isn’t a failure. Failure is giving up. Everybody gets rejected. It’s how you handle it that determines where you end up.”
Castle was right about it, and whoever wrote the screenplay for this series.
7. innovative
So there is saying that you cannot see the woods for the trees. Well, you are the one who is supposed to see the woods, to distinguish their beauty and present it to the world. You are the one who will tell people to see the whole picture but still be aware of the details that made it. Be creative, think outside the box and offer people something they haven’t seen before and you’ll see that they will appreciate it.
8. mobile
Try to find a table in a cafĂ© that doesn’t have a mobile on it. I dare you. Or try to stop a person on a street and see if they don’t have a mobile. So, your blog, your work should be available on every mobile phone, to be precise, the content you present to the world should be responsive.
According to the researchers, 68% of people will not wait more than 5 seconds for a page to load on a mobile device. Do you really want to lose traffic only because you didn’t prepare enough?
I know that all these maybe sounds a bit too far for you at this moment, but once you put your content in one place, you will find these tips extremely useful.
