EasyDNNnews 7.8 – Custom title tag

Title tags are important for SEO and social sharing. They define a title and describe a content of a website. They are often used by search engines during evaluation of page relevance and displaying of search results.

EasyDNNnews offers all the possibilities which are needed to implement the best SEO practices, and the news in the version 7.8 is the possibility of setting a custom title tag. Title tag has been supported until now, but it was only automatically generated from an article title based on the settings in EasyDNNnews > Dashboard > General settings.

Now you have both methods available. Title tags will continue to be automatically created from an article title which is more than good praxis. But if you want, an automatically generated title tag can be replaced with a custom title tag.

How to enter a custom title tag?

A custom title tag can be entered when adding or editing articles. Click on the SEO settings in the article editor.

This will open a form where you can enter a title tag, but also edit an article URL (which is also automatically generated from an article title), enter a meta description and meta keywords.

If you don't enter a custom title tag, don't worry. In such a case, an automatically generated title tag is used and your article won't be left out of a title tag.

Automatic generation of title tags

Like we mentioned, title tags are automatically generated based on the settings in EasyDNNnews > Dashboard > General settings. Here you have the possibility to adjust the rule according to which title tags will be generated on a site.
