Automatically Translate Articles into Numerous Languages with AI in EasyDNN News 12.4

EasyDNN News enables article translation using OpenAI (ChatGPT). The number of languages you can translate to is unlimited, depending only on the languages available on your DNN website. In practice, this can be one, a few, or even dozens of languages. The multilingual capabilities of DNN and EasyDNN News make a winning combination for any multilingual website.

To enable AI translation in your EasyDNN News module, add an OpenAI API key to EasyDNN News. After that, you can choose from multiple available ChatGPT models. The cost and quality of translations depend on the selected ChatGPT model.

Articles are added to the EasyDNN News module in the default language of your DNN and then translated from the default language into other languages. Note that all parts of the article are translated, including the full text, title, subtitle, SEO metadata, image titles, and tags. Friendly URLs containing the article title will be created for each language. EasyDNN News also generates a sitemap for each language, which can be uploaded to Google Search Console. This ensures high-quality on-site SEO for every language you have.

There are two ways to translate articles:

Translation in the Article Editor

Click on "Add Translation" in the Article Editor. This opens the translation interface, where you can add your translations manually without using AI. To translate articles with AI, select the "AI Translate" option (All languages, Selected language, Only languages without translation) and click the "Translate with AI" button. The translation may take some time, depending on the article length and the ChatGPT model selected.

Translation in the Article Manager

In the Article Manager, you can translate multiple articles at once. Open the Article Manager, select one or more articles you wish to translate, and choose the "Translate with AI" option. You can then select:

  • All languages (articles will be translated into all languages, even if a translation already exists),
  • Only languages without translation (translates articles only into languages that don't yet have a translation), or
  • Select language (allows you to choose specific languages for translation).

The "Update Translation" option is used when you want to update an existing translation. For example, if you've made changes to the default language and want those changes reflected across other languages. Here, you can also choose specific fields or sections of the article to translate. This can be useful if you don't want to translate the entire article but only certain elements, such as the title. This helps reduce translation costs and the time it takes for AI to complete the translation.

If you're unsatisfied with an AI translation for any reason, you can manually edit translations for each language individually.

MosaicNook.com is an example of a website where articles are translated into 34 languages.
